The Museum Aficionados Story

Hey there I’m Shawn, my pronouns are she, her, and hers.  I want to welcome you to Museum Aficionados, our blog is about love. Our love of museums and all that they have to offer.  Our love of scientific, artistic, and cultural innovation. Our love of connecting and learning together as a family.   

My son and I have been museuming for more than 10 years and our walks through galleries and exhibits are woven throughout the story of our family.  We always have memories to share about what we’ve recently seen and  recommendations for families looking for something fun to do together.

Our most cherished memories were built on road trips to Philadelphia and Florida and on long walks through the Smithsonian Institutions; all in the pursuit of an awesome museum experience that we can have together!

We don’t expect that you’ll love museums as much as we do, although we know that we are in great company.  We do want to inspire you to see museums as fun, grounding, and magical destinations for family connections.
